I'm scheduled to work 4:30am to 2:30pm on the day after Thanksgiving. I'm gonna try and go in with nightcrew on Thanksgiving instead and work 10pm to 8am or 9am. Consumerism at its worst.
I'm sort of upset to be working those hours because it is entirely way too early for me to be functioning, but at the same time, I'm grateful for any extra hours I can get now. I'd rather go in with night crew so I can be productive and not feel bad about not sleeping. I wouldn't bother sleeping when I have to be to work that early anyways. I hope I can go in with night crew. I'll be paid $9.50 an hour instead of my barely $8 an hour now and I'd get a paid lunch.
I really do hate the consumerism of Christmas. Is life really going to end because your kid isn't going to get that hot, new toy? Today at work, there was this kis, about 10 or so shopping with his mom. A game he wanted was too expensive and his mom wouldn't let him get it and he started crying. Geez kid, are you that greedy? GET OVER IT.
My mom wants to get me a PS2 for Christmas since my brother wrecked the one they had over there. On one hand, I'm thinking "Heck yes!", but on the toher hand, you can buy a lot of useful things for $130. I don't need it anyways. I have lotsw of things. A lot of which I should get rid of. Toys R Us doesn't really put me in a cheerful holiday mood. I feel so greedy thinking of stuff I want because I see greedy kids of the customers at Toys R Us getting whatever they want. I don't wanna be like that and I don't want my furute children to behave the way some of these kids do.
